What is Youth Day?

Youth Day Participants at US Capital

By invitation only, youth who have excelled in an equine event under the listed guidelines will gather and be honored by the Governor of Georgia at the Georgia National Rodeo in Perry in February. Invitations will provide information about the event.

Requirements for 2026 Youth Day Participation:

  • Resident of Georgia
  • Age 19 and under
  • World and/or National Show Winner during 2026
    • Must have won 1st place
    • Placed in top 10 of a youth event
    • Event must have been held during 2026
  • State Show Winner
    • Must have won 1st place
    • Event must have been held in Georgia
    • Event must have been held during 2026
    • Must be a State Show, not a local or district show (Example: GA 4-H and GA FFA state equine events, Georgia Federation of Saddle Clubs, Only GA high school rodeo winners and queens from recognized GA Jr. High School Rodeo Associations.)
